Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s Future Leaders Award, applicants must:

  • Be an international (overseas fee-paying) student domiciled in one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mauritius, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Peru, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.

  • Hold an offer for a full-time Bachelor’s degree (FHEQ Level 4) or a Taught Master’s degree starting in September 2025 at the University of Surrey.

  • Be self-funded, meaning they are not sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship.

  • Not enrolled at Surrey International Study Centre (SISC) and not applying for MSc Pharmaceutical Science.

  • Not combining this award with other Surrey scholarships or alumni discounts.
