University of Surrey Fluor Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must:

1. Be a UK/Home undergraduate student applying for a BEng or MEng degree in one of the following:

   • Mechanical Engineering

   • Electrical and Electronic Engineering

   • Civil Engineering

   • Chemical and Process Engineering

2. Have a household income under £35,000.

3. Meet at least one widening participation criterion, which includes but is not limited to:

   • Students from low-participation neighbourhoods (LPNs) or areas of deprivation.

   • Students eligible for Free School Meals within the past six years.

   • Care leavers, young carers, mature learners, estranged students.

   • Students with disabilities.

   • Refugees or asylum seekers.

   • Students from underrepresented ethnic groups (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic).

   • Students from Gypsy, Roma, Irish Traveller, or other nomadic communities.

   • Students whose parents did not attend higher education or work in non-professional roles.
