Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Suffolk Bursary 2024-25, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be a new student at the University of Suffolk in the 2024-25 academic year. Returning students are not eligible.
  • Be enrolled in the first year of a course, studying either full-time or part-time (at least 50% of the Full-Time Equivalent) towards a Foundation, Bachelor’s, or Integrated Master’s degree.
  • Be paying the required tuition fees: £8,220 for a Foundation degree, £9,250 for a Bachelor’s/Integrated Master’s degree, £11,100 for an Accelerated degree, or £6,618 for an HND/HNC (pro-rata for part-time students).
  • Have a household income of £25,000 or less, as assessed by the Student Loans Company (SLC) at the application closing date.
  • Be classified as a “Home” fee-paying student (overseas students are not eligible).
  • Maintain continued attendance in the course on which you enrolled as of the date of payment.
  • Have submitted a means-tested Student Finance application with the University of Suffolk as the chosen institution, and given consent for the sharing of financial details.

It is important to note that students who are eligible for the Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme will not be eligible for this bursary.
