To support and nurture this future generation of experts, SSE Renewables, in collaboration with Clyde, Stronelairg, and Dunmaglass Wind Farms, is offering three fully funded master’s scholarships for the 2025/26 academic year at the University of Strathclyde.

Eligible MSc Courses

Applicants must hold an offer to study one of the following courses at the University of Strathclyde:

  • MSc in Offshore Wind Energy

  • MSc in Wind Energy Systems

  • MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Renewable Energy Systems & the Environment

  • MSc in Sustainability & Environmental Studies

  • MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Offshore Renewable Energy

  • MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Marine Technology

  • MSc in Sustainable Engineering: Chemical Processing

  • MSc in Renewable Energy & Decarbonisation Technologies

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have received an offer for one of the above eligible MSc courses (starting 2025/26).

  • Be classified as a Home or Rest of UK student.

  • Not be in receipt of another tuition scholarship or industry funding.

  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in a career with SSE Renewables and the renewable energy sector.

Application Process

  1. Secure an Offer: Apply and receive an offer to study one of the eligible MSc programmes.

  2. Complete the Scholarship Application Form: Available through the University of Strathclyde.

  3. Submit Supporting Documents:

    • Academic merit and personal achievements

    • A personal statement explaining:
