Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Thrive Awards, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bahraini citizenship

  • Minimum high school CGPA of 85% or an internationally recognised equivalent

  • Must have received an offer of admission for an undergraduate degree at University of Strathclyde, Bahrain for September 2025 entry

  • Must satisfy any academic or conditional requirements listed in their offer letter before enrolment

Please note: These awards are not applicable to students enrolling at the Strathclyde campus in Glasgow, or to online/distance learning students.

The Thrive Awards apply to the following undergraduate degrees offered at the Bahrain campus:

  • BEng(Hons) Chemical Engineering

  • BEng(Hons) Civil Engineering

  • BEng(Hons) Electronic and Electrical Engineering

  • BEng(Hons) Mechanical Engineering

  • BSc(Hons) Computer Science

  • BSc(Hons) Software Engineering

  • BBA(Hons) Business Administration

  • BBA(Hons) Business Administration with Marketing

  • 20% of tuition fees covered each academic year

  • Renewable annually for the duration of the degree, subject to satisfactory academic performance

  • Multiple scholarships available

Application Process

  1. Secure an Offer: Apply and receive a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the eligible undergraduate programmes at University of Strathclyde, Bahrain.

  2. Invitation to Apply: Eligible offer holders will be contacted via email by the respective University of Strathclyde Faculty Admissions Team with an invitation to apply for the Thrive Award.

  3. Submit Application: Follow the instructions in the email to complete your Thrive Award application.

  4. Review and Notification: Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. You’ll be notified of the outcome by S Eleven Educational.
